Neeraj Chopra had successfully kept the details of his wedding a closely guarded secret. Consequently, the first photos from his marriage surprised and delighted his fans across social media platforms. Neeraj shared a heartwarming image of his mother offering her blessings at the ceremony, capturing a poignant moment from the special occasion.
Following the announcement of his marriage, Neeraj was showered with congratulatory messages. Prominent figures such as former cricketer Suresh Raina and actor Gajraj Rao were among the first to extend their best wishes to the Olympic champion on this momentous occasion.
"May your journey together be filled with beautiful memories and unwavering companionship," Raina said in a post on X.
Neeraj Chopra's wedding follows his recent success at the Paris Games 2024, where he won a silver medal in the javelin throw final, adding another feather in his cap. This remarkable feat followed his historic gold medal win at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, making him the first Indian athlete to achieve an individual gold medal in a track and field event at the Olympic Games.
Neeraj finished second to Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem. Arshad claimed gold with a remarkable throw of 92.97 meters. While Neeraj narrowly missed out on gold, his throw of 89.45 meters was a commendable performance. Despite his consistent excellence, Neeraj has yet to achieve the coveted 90-meter mark in his javelin throws. However, he has come tantalizingly close, with his personal best standing at 89.94 meters, achieved during the 2022 Stockholm Diamond League.
