 Second Women's Mid-Card Championship

The introduction of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship is the second major championship announcement for the women’s division this month. Earlier in November, WWE unveiled the Women’s United States Championship, which will be contested on SmackDown. Both of these new titles will play a major role in the ongoing development of the women's roster, offering top superstars additional opportunities to shine and compete for prestigious titles.

"BREAKING: WWE has officially introduced the Women’s Intercontinental Championship," Wrestle Ops tweeted, further confirming the excitement surrounding the new championship.

Tournaments to Crown the First Women’s Champions

While the new championships have been introduced, neither the Women’s United States Championship nor the Women’s Intercontinental Championship has yet been awarded. Both WWE brands will hold separate tournaments to crown the first-ever champions of these titles.

 Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament

The tournament to determine the first Women’s Intercontinental Champion will begin next week on Monday Night RAW. The competition promises high-stakes action as top female superstars from the RAW roster compete for the newly introduced title.

 Women’s United States Championship Tournament

On SmackDown, the road to the Women’s United States Championship has already begun. Bayley secured her spot in the semi-finals after defeating B-Fab and Candice LeRae, while Chelsea Green also advanced by defeating Blair Davenport and Bianca Belair. Other top stars, including Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, Elektra Lopez, Piper Niven, Michin, and Jade Cargill, will have their chances to progress in the tournament this week.

With the introduction of these two new championships, WWE now boasts a total of 11 titles in the women’s division. These include:
