Braun Strowman announces his comeback to the ring after a long hiatus, know details

Braun Strowman, who announced on social media that he will return to Great Lakes Championship Wrestling for their Blizzard Brawl event on December 7th at the Waukesha County Expo Center. At the event, Strowman will serve as the special guest referee for a match featuring The Newest Rockers—Al Snow and Kal Herro—against Santino Marella and Damian Sandow.

In recent months, more WWE stars have been appearing at non-WWE events. Notable examples include Shayna Baszler competing at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport, and more recently, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh headlining OTT’s 10th Anniversary Show. Braun is another name to the list.

In a promo where Strowman did his best Hulk Hogan impression, he reminded fans that his last appearance at the event broke an attendance record previously set by Hogan and Andre the Giant, and he hopes to do the same once again. Additionally, Strowman will take part in a meet-and-greet at the show, with all proceeds going to the local Neosho Pond Association and Honor Elementary School in Neosho.

Strowman has not been seen on WWE television since September 30th, following a "Last Monster Standing" match against Bronson Reed. Although he won the match, Strowman sustained a groin tear, which has kept him sidelined for an indefinite period.

Strowman recently provided an update on his recovery, confirming that he is currently rehabbing the injury. However, there is no set timeline for his return to action.
