Former WWE Superstar Shelton Benjamin has officially joined AEW, making his debut during the Dynamite 5th anniversary episode. He appeared in a backstage segment alongside MVP, who introduced him as his business partner and the president of their complaint department. This move follows Benjamin's release from WWE in September 2023 after a brief stint on the independent circuit.

Benjamin’s first appearance came shortly after MVP’s debut at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. During a backstage segment, MVP was discussing recent events when he was interrupted by Prince Nana, who brought up Benjamin's wrestling history. Before Nana could elaborate, MVP introduced Shelton as his business partner.

The crowd responded enthusiastically to Benjamin’s arrival as MVP declared, “I’d like to introduce you and the AEW viewing audience to my business partner and the President of our Complaint Department, Mr. Shelton Benjamin.”

His transition to AEW adds to a growing list of former WWE stars who have joined the promotion, including Ricochet, who recently debuted at All-In

In the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite aired on October 2, MVP was featured in a backstage segment where he engaged in a conversation with Renee Paquette. During this interaction, MVP disclosed that he had a significant announcement to share, stating, “Yes, I do have a big announcement I’d like to make,” and emphasized that it was an opportune moment given the fifth anniversary of Dynamite.

His remarks were interrupted by Prince Nana, who expressed his dissatisfaction with MVP and indicated his readiness to “lace up” his boots for him. In response, MVP asserted that he did not entertain complaints and subsequently introduced Shelton Benjamin as his business associate and the president of their complaint department. The audience responded with enthusiastic cheers as the camera shifted to focus on Benjamin, prompting MVP to declare, “I’d like to introduce you and the AEW viewing audience to my business partner and the President of our Complaint Department, Mr.
