Reigns was asked about his relationship with Paul Heyman, and the WWE superstar did not hold back in his response.

Reigns was also asked about the changes to the main event of Wrestlemania XL.

On the November 22 episode of SmackDown, Paul Heyman made his long-awaited return to WWE, aligning himself with CM Punk and Roman Reigns. This appearance came just a week after Reigns tried to contact Heyman, only to find that his number had been disconnected.

The reunion between Heyman and Reigns has sparked significant interest, especially considering their history together. Reigns later addressed their relationship during an interview on SI Media with Jimmy Traina.

Roman Reigns Opens Up About Paul Heyman’s “Shady” Behavior

Reigns was asked about his relationship with Paul Heyman, and the WWE superstar did not hold back in his response. He referred to Heyman as being "incredibly shady," but clarified that his focus was always on his family and career.

Reigns said during an interview with SI Media with Jimmy Traina  “Paul’s been incredibly shady if you don’t ask me. I’ve seen some of the speculation, ‘Well you didn’t answer his phone calls’ and this and that. But at the end of the day when I take my leave there’s no question what I’m doing. I’m recessing back to family, change the hats, put on that fatherhood hat to refocus. That way I can come in and come back and dominate and run the show and represent my family at the highest capacity, at the highest standard possible.”

Roman continued, saying that while there were a lot of unanswered questions surrounding his absence, he was confident in his return. “So there’s no question when I leave, the question is what happened with him. There’s a lot of things that we just haven’t had the time to dive into and that’s just the train wreck of a return that it’s been for me.”

The Burden of the “Crown” and the Weight of Power

Roman also reflected on the difficulties of maintaining his position as a dominant force in WWE. He likened the responsibility to wearing a crown, explaining, “I thought wearing the crown was a hell of a burden, trying to put all the pieces together when power behooves you is incredibly difficult.”

Reigns further shared his feelings of uncertainty about the future of his relationship with Heyman, saying, “So right now, I have just as many questions for the Wiseman as you.”

Roman Reigns Discusses WrestleMania XL Main Event Changes

The conversation shifted to WrestleMania XL as Reigns was asked about the changes to the main event. Originally, the plan seemed to be a one-on-one match between Reigns and The Rock, but Cody Rhodes had been involved in the storyline following his Royal Rumble victory. Reigns, however, remained unfazed by the shift in plans.

“I was the main event no matter what. I’m the guy that everyone wanted to dance with. I’m the hot chick. Everybody wanted to take me out. It was one of those things where, we just need to get there and defend this thing,” Reigns confidently stated. “It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re trying to stop history from happening. They’re trying to take this off of the pinnacle right now. It was the same task at hand for me.”

Roman Reigns’ Transition to Babyface Character

In the same interview, Reigns also discussed his evolving character arc in WWE, especially his transition into a babyface without making any drastic changes. He credited the “strong characters” in the Bloodline storyline for helping facilitate this transformation.

The insights Reigns shared give fans a glimpse into his mindset as he continues to dominate WWE, and the return of Paul Heyman is sure to add even more drama to his ongoing saga.
