He talks about Jon Jones holding down the division.

Tai Tuivasa is scheduled to face Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 305, a highly anticipated heavyweight clash set for August 17, 2024. This fight is crucial for Tuivasa as he looks to bounce back after consecutive losses, most recently to Marcin Tybura. Facing Rozenstruik, a fellow knockout artist, Tuivasa will be up against a formidable opponent who also has a reputation for ending fights quickly with powerful strikes. Both fighters are known for their explosive power, making this matchup one of the most intriguing on the UFC 305 card.

Fans are expecting fireworks as both heavyweights are likely to engage in a stand-up battle, with Tuivasa aiming to reclaim his momentum in the division. A victory over Rozenstruik would be significant for Tuivasa, not only halting his losing streak but also re-establishing him as a top contender in the UFC’s heavyweight division. With both fighters possessing the ability to end the fight in an instant, this bout promises to be a must-watch for MMA fans.

Tai Tuivasa on Jon Jones

Ahead of his upcoming fight which can be watched live on Sony Sports Network and streamed on the Sony LIV app, the Australian UFC heavyweight answered the question regarding Jon Jones holding the heavyweight division down in an exclusive conversation with Sports Tak. He referred to Jones as one of the Greatest of all time but also agreed that he is holding the division down which is quite frustrating for the people up in the rankings.

“I don't really know to be honest. I think he's the greatest of all time, that's for sure. But it's kind of holding the division up, but I think it's more frustrating for the boys who are at the top, like the Aspenals and the boys up there. So I don't know. So I suppose one of them should just hurry up and fight,” Tai Tuivasa told Sports Tak.

Tuivasa also answered the question of if Jones should fight Stipe Miocic or Tom Aspinall as his next possible opponent for the undisputed UFC Heavyweight title.

“I think Aspinall should fight John Jones. Just because Aspinall has been fighting and well not really John Jones or Miocic has been fighting so I'm not too sure. I'll let them do their thing you know they're the guys at the top and I suppose Aspinall deserves it,” said Tuivasa.
