WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has set an unexpected goal for herself before she retires from WWE, and it involves a fellow WWE Superstar: Nia Jax. Despite the mixed reactions surrounding Jax's return at Survivor Series, Stratus has expressed admiration for the current WWE Women's Champion and even shared a unique ambition for her retirement.
In a recent interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Stratus was asked about her favorite modern WWE talent, and she didn’t hold back her praise for Nia Jax. Stratus revealed that one of her dreams is to be "rag-dolled" by Jax inside the ring before she hangs up her boots for good.
"I'm so happy she came back," Stratus said about Jax. "She has a great presence. She has been owning it. I really enjoy watching her. I have this weird thing where I don’t think I could fully retire until I’m rag-dolled by her. Is that weird? Imagine that? Then I can retire [laughs]."
This light-hearted admission from Stratus certainly sparked excitement among fans who have always seen her as one of the most dominant forces in WWE’s women’s division.
Trish Stratus Talks About New WWE Women's Titles
Stratus also shared her thoughts on WWE’s recent decision to introduce women’s versions of the United States and Intercontinental Championships. For Stratus, this move is long overdue, as it reflects the dreams of many women wrestlers from her era.
"I think it’s amazing. This is exactly what we wanted back in the day," Stratus said. "We wanted the same opportunities and exposure as the men. Now this is a big step to have that level of competition. Having the titles means you’re going to have matches for those titles. There is room for multiple feuds over the titles and influx of characters. It creates opportunities for more characters on the show, who happen to be female."
This new addition to the women's division signals a step forward in WWE’s commitment to presenting female Superstars on the same level as their male counterparts, something Stratus and many others fought for during their careers.
The Possibility of a WWE Return for Trish Stratus
Stratus' legacy in WWE is well-established. She made her in-ring debut in 2000 and went on to win the Women’s Championship seven times. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013, cementing her place as one of the greatest female wrestlers in history.
Though Stratus has not competed since her high-profile cage match against Becky Lynch at Payback 2023, she has not officially announced her retirement and has teased a potential return to the ring in the future.
Stratus hinted at the possibility of another match during her conversation with Fishman, revealing that 2025 will mark her 25th anniversary in WWE. This milestone could very well bring her back for one final match.
"Possibly. I imagine at some point. I don’t know what I’ll be doing in a wrestling ring, but I can’t imagine I won’t be in a wrestling ring. It is my 25th anniversary after all. So, yeah."
With Stratus still in great shape and able to put on stellar matches, her fans are eager to see if she will return to action in 2025.
A Possible Match with Tiffany Stratton?
One potential match that has caught the attention of fans is a possible showdown between Trish Stratus and rising star Tiffany Stratton. After their interaction at Money in the Bank, speculation has grown that this could be a dream match for Stratus' return. Fans are eagerly hoping that this match might become a reality, especially if Stratus decides to step back into the ring for her 25th anniversary.
