On Thursday Netflix released the trailer for its much-awaited series featuring WWE chairman Vince McMahon. It is executive-produced by Tiger King director Chris Smith and Bill Simmons. The series will be a six-part series revolving around Vince who played a pivotal role in the growth of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) now called WWE (World Wrestling Federation). Vince McMahon recently had to resign after he was charged with a lawsuit filed that accused him of sexual misconduct. The series is titled Mr. McMahon and will premiere on September 25 on Netflix.
McMahon's rise and controversies
Mr McMahon will focus on his success following his rise as a chairman and the controversies around him. His family members, like his daughter, Stephanie McMahon (an American businesswoman), and other members of the WWE fraternity will be featured in an interview form in the series. The final result after shooting is 200-plus hours of interviews.

The trailer
"People have wondered who I really am. Portrayal of me is I’m a bad guy, But no one really knows me," McMahon says in the trailer’s opening moments. WWE stars such as Hulk Hogan, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Bret “The Hitman” Hart are seen in the trailer talking about Vince and his journey with WWE.
“Mr. McMahon chronicles the rise and fall of Vince McMahon, controversial businessman and co-founder of WWE. From his transformation of the WWE from a small, regional business into a global entertainment powerhouse to the explosive sexual misconduct allegations that led to his eventual resignation, this six-episode series offers a deep dive into McMahon’s life and his enduring franchise,” Netflix said in a synopsis.
“The goal behind Mr. McMahon was to pull back the curtain and reveal the true Vince McMahon, obscured beneath the persona he presented to the world. Over the four years of production, the story evolved in truly shocking ways, culminating in some extremely harrowing allegations. The final product is a revealing documentary that we believe offers a rich and nuanced portrait of the man and the complex legacy he left behind,” filmmaker Chris Smith previously revealed.
Vince McMahon is still fighting the legal battle due to which he had to step down as the chairman of WWE.
