Brad Hodge is a talented right-handed middle-order batsman who has been pushing hard for a fixed place in the Australian batting line-up. Hodge made a decent start to his international career scoring a double ton in just his third Test match against South Africa.

'Hodgey' has a sound batting technique and works very hard for his runs. He has the hunger for big scores and is capable of converting his starts into long innings. A brilliant outfielder, he displays magnificent agility while fielding.

With an average of 58.42 in only five matches into his Test career, Hodge was dropped from the national side. This did not dishearten the Victorian as he scored heavily in the domestic circuit and made a comeback into the Australian team for the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean. He scored his maiden ODI ton and was named Man-of-the-Match but was unfortunately dropped in the next game. The T20 specialist was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for the fifth edition of Indian T20 league in 2012 and will continue to play for Rajasthan only. His death overs hitting make him a very important player in an slightly inexperienced middle order batting line up.
