Sania Mirza called time on her illustrious career after she reached the final of the mixed doubles event of the Australian Open, but fell in the final hurdle to Luisa Stefani and Rafael Matos of Brazil on January 27 (Friday). The Indians were defeated in straight sets 7-6 (7-2), 6-2, meaning that Sania will end her career with six Grand Slam titles to her name.
