Can both India and Pakistan qualify for the T20 World Cup semi-finals?

Four contests are yet to be played in Group 2. Let's take a look at how Group 2 has fared so far.

Barring any major upset, India and South Africa look set to qualify for the semi-finals from Group 2.

India have six points in four games played so far. The Men in Blue's last game is against Zimbabwe in which a win guarantees semi-final birth.

South Africa have five points in three matches played. Their remaining fixtures are against Pakistan and Netherlands. If they win both, SA will top the group. A loss will make things ineteresting.

If SA beats Pakistan and then the Men in Green beats Bangladesh, India will qualify for the semi-finals.

Pakistan have two points in three matches. They have to win their remaining two matches, but that also might not be enough for them to qualify for the semis.

Pakistan will have to win by a big margin and hope India comes up short against Zimbabwe. In that case, Babar Azam's men will qualify for the semis.

If SA beats Pakistan, they will qualify for the semis. If they lose and win against the Netherlands, they will still make the semis.

If South Africa loses their remaining two matches and Pakistan wins their two fixtures, then India and Pakistan can both qualify for the semis.
