CPL 2022

Jamaica Tallawahs condemned the Barbados Royals to a loss in the final of the CPL 2022 with Brandon King firing in the clutch match.

With the tournament having come to an end, we take a look at the best bowlers from the season gone by, based on the most wickets taken.

Best bowlers

The St Lucia Kings pacer picked up the most wickets in the competition. He finished the season with 18 scalps.

Second by virtue of a better average and strike rate, Jason Holder, who captained Barbados Royals to the final, finished with 17 wickets.

The highest wicket-taker for champions Jamaica Tallawahs, Imad Wasim bagged 17 wickets in 13 matches and had an economy rate of 5.97.

The veteran Pakistan was also a part of the winning team but did not play in the final because of an injury. He picked up 16 wickets.

The young pacer played the final for the Barbados Royals but was subpar. He finished the season with 15 wickets to his name.

Guyana Amazon Warriors were among the title contenders for the trophy but failed to live up to the hype. He bagged 14 wickets this season. 

Romario Shepherd

South African spinner Imran Tahir, also played for Guyana Amazon Warriors this season and took 13 wickets in 11 games.
