Ravichandran Ashwin and Ashish Nehra shared a 28-run partnership from 33 deliveries against Sri Lanka in 2016 as India suffered a batting collapse. The partnership helped India cross the 100-run mark.

Overall record

The overall record in T20Is belongs to Belgium's Saber Zakhil and Saqlain Ali. They shared an unbeaten 132-run partnership against Austria in 2021. Belgium ended up winning the match. 

Deepak's 31-run knock is the joint second-most runs by an Indian at no.9 position in T20Is. The record belongs to Irfan Pathan who scored 33 not out against Sri Lanka in 2009.

This is the highest 9th wicket partnership against South Africa in T20Is. The previous best belonged to Afghanistan's Hamid Hassan, Mirwais Ashraf (33).
