Ben Stokes-led England registered a historic victory over Pakistan in the second Test as they won the match by 26 runs.
With this win, England have been greatly benefitted in the World Test Championship (WTC) points table after bagging 12 important points.

Australian team sits atop with 108 points are the biggest contender to cruise to the final.
South Africa are at no.2 with 72 points as they have won a total of 6 out of 10 matches so far in the WTC 2021-2023 cycle.
Sri Lanka grab the third spot in the WTC points table as they have won 5 out of 10 matches and have garnered 64 points.
Team India, who are also amongst the strongest contender to make it to the final, is at the fourth position. They have won a total of 6 out of 12 matches and have 75 points. India need to beat Bangladesh & Australia to cruise to the coveted final.
England are at no.5 and are almost out of the final race. They have got 9 wins in 12 matches and have garnered 112 points.
Pakistan are sixth in the WTC points table as their road towards the final is next to impossible. Pakistan have won 4 out of 11 matches and have garnered 56 points.
West Indies are placed at seventh in WTC points table as they have won 4 out of 11 matches with 54 points.
New Zealand have won 2 out of 9 matches and are eighth in the WTC points table with 28 points.
Bangladesh is no.9 in the WTC points table and have won just one out of 10 matches with 16 points.
