Turmoil in Australian camp as players rush back home after demoralising defeat

February 20, 2023 Australia suffered humiliating defeats at the hands of India in both the Tests of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar series.
After losing the first two Tests, there is a turmoil in the Australian camp as some key players of the team are marred by injuries while some are rushing back home.
Three Australian players have gone home so far. However, two of them will come back. It has been learnt that more players are planning to go home.
Captain Pat Cummins has returned to Australia due to a medical emergency back at home. However, he will come back before the third Test in Indore.
Australia star speedster Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the series owing to an ankle injury. He didn't play the first two Tests against India.
Meanwhile, David Warner suffered a hand injury during the second Test against India in Delhi. He might also return to Australia.
Leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson had gone returned to Australia ahead of the second Test. He had to go to attend the birth of his child. However, he will come back before the Indore Test.
Going by a report in Fox Sports, Australia's left-handed batter Matt Renshaw might also return to Australia.
Left-arm spinner Ashton Agar, who hasn't yet got a chance to play in the Test series against India, might also return to Australia.
