Former India captain and maverick batter, Virat Kohli recorded his 73rd international and 45th ODI century on January 10 (Tuesday).
The attractive right-handed batter reached the three-figure mark in just 80 deliveries against Sri Lanka in the 1st ODI in Guwahati.
The 34-year-old smashed 12 fours and one sixes in his fantastic knock.
After his latest ton, Kohli became only the second Indian batter to record nine ODI hundreds against a single opposition.
Kohli recorded his 9th ODI hundred against Sri Lanka. Sachin Tendulkar scored nine ODI centuries against Australia.
Kohli and Rohit Sharma have scored eight ODI hundreds each against Australia while Sachin scored eight tons against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
Riding on Kohli's masterful century, India posted a daunting total of 373/7 in 50 overs.
Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and elected to bowl first.
