India's 2007 T20 World Cup hero Joginder Sharma retires: A look at his records

Former India bowler Joginder Sharma has called time on his cricket career. 

Joginder bowled the final over of that tournament and took the wicket of Misbah Ul Haq to help India seal the trophy. 

He finished that tournament with four wickets to his name. 

The match against Pakistan was also his last T20I match for India. 

Joginder actually made his international debut in ODIs back in 2004. 

The pacer took one wicket in his debut match against Bangladesh, and played his last match in 2007, against the West Indies.

In the IPL, Joginder played 16 games across four seasons for Chennai Super Kings, taking 12 wickets. 

This includes a career-high of eight wickets in as many games in the 2008 season. 


He was also a regular in domestic cricket for Haryana, playing his last match in 2017. 


His best bowling figures in First Class cricket is 8/24.
