India's death over issues!

Death over bowling has been a big problem for India in T20Is recently. Many matches have gone out of India's hands due to this drawback.

Who owns death overs?

During the T20 World Cup 2022, the bowling of death overs can become tough for India. But these are the bowlers whose economy rates have been the best since 2019.

Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel, who plays for RCB in the IPL, is primarily a death overs bowler. But he has been subpar in the last four overs for India. His economy is 10.92.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Team India's senior-most bowler is considered the master of the powerplay. But his magic does not work in the death overs. His economy is 10.36.

Shardul Thakur

This star player is currently out of Team India. But his bowling in the death overs has been good. He has an economy rate of 9.05.

Jasprit Bumrah

Considered India's best death bowler, since 2019, he has only given away 7.88 runs per over in T20Is in the death overs.

Arshdeep Singh

This left-arm fast bowler has recently made his reputation in the death overs. His economy has been only 7.38 during this period, less than Bumrah.

Fighting till the end

In the Asia Cup 2022, Arshdeep Singh bowled the last over against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He had to defend seven runs and each time the opposing team won with a ball left.

Arshdeep Singh has done wonders for Punjab Kings in the IPL. There too he took over the responsibility of the death overs and did a better job than their main bowler Kagiso Rabada.
