April 6, 2023 The IPL 2023 has started brilliantly, and the mega cricket party will now return to the city of Kolkata.
KKR lost their opening match to PBKS and will hope for a return to form in their second match vs RCB.
And the fans of the two-time IPL champions have made their return to the city even sweeter!
The city is lit up in the colours of their team — Purple and Gold.
RCB's star batter Virat Kohli has also notched up 50 fifty-plus scores in IPL so far.
Some of the city's biggest landmarks — the Hooghly Bridge and the ITC Royal Bengal are lit up with the colour.
Even Park Street, the food and entertainment hub of the city, have turned purple with posters adorning the roads.
And it's not a surprise that Eden Gardens is also all lit up for the fans!
Ahead of the match, KKR launched a 'Homecoming’ campaign with the slogan “Bari Phirchi Ebar, Ami KKR” (We are coming back home, we are KKR).
