This is not the first time the Irish tailenders have prolonged the inevitable in T20Is. Their highest 10th wicket partnership is unbeaten 44 against South Africa in 2021.

Caribbean pair’s record

For a full-member nation, West Indies pair Obed McCoy and Hayden Walsh is on top. They shared an unbeaten 38-run partnership against New Zealand earlier this year.

Barry McCarthy's unbeaten 22-run knock is the joint-highest score by a no.10 batter in T20 World Cup history. Afghanistan's Hamid Hassan had scored 22 against South Africa in 2010 edition.
