The record for youngest ODI centurion belongs to David Gower who scored a century against Pakistan in 1978, aged 21 years 55 days.

In 1979, David Gower slammed an ODI century against Australia in Melbourne. Gowever was 21 years and 309 days old at the time.

Jacob Bethell surpassed former batter Craig Kieswetter who scored a century against Bangladesh in 2010. He was 22 years and 97 days old.

The fourth-youngest to score an ODI century for England is Alastair Cook. Aged 22 years and 239 days, Cook scored his maiden ODI century against India in 2007.
