Rizwan breaks Buttler’s record

Most fifty-plus scores by a wicketkeeper batter in T20Is. Here is the list of top 5 batters. 

5 | Brendon McCullum 

Former New Zealand skipper has 10 fifty-plus scores including a century from 42 innings. McCullum has the highest individual score of 123 on the list.

Proteas wicketkeeper-batter has 11 half-centuries from 67 innings. De Kock’s highest score is 79 not out. 

4 | Quinton de Kock

Afghan wicketkeeper-batter has 13 fifty-plus scores including a 118 not out from 69 innings. Shahzad has been currently banned by the Afghanistan Cricket Board.

England skipper has 16 fifty-plus scores including a century from 74 innings. Buttler did not play against Pakistan due to calf injury. He has most runs on the list (2,119 runs).

Rizwan also became the joint-fastest to 2,000 T20I runs. Rizwan took 52 innings to break the 2,000 runs mark. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam achieved it in the same number of innings.

Another milestone

This was England’s first T20I on Pakistan soil. England won the first T20I of the 7-T20I series by 6 wickets under the leadership of stand-in skipper Moeen Ali.
