Mohammed Siraj joins list of Indian fast-bowling greats with first-ball wicket

Mohammed Siraj took the wicket of Bangladesh opener Najmul Shanto off the first ball of the innings

Mohammed Siraj achieved the feat which previously belonged to only four Indian bowlers

Former Indian left-arm pacer Syed Abid Ali achieved it first in 1971 against West Indies and then in 1973 agianst England

Legendary Kapil Dev did it thrice in his Test career. The first one came against Pakistan in 1983 followed by South Africa and Zimbabwe in 1992 and 1993 respectively

Zaheer Khan did it against Bangladesh in 2007 and then in 2009 to dismiss Sri Lankan opener Tillakaratne Dilshan

Mohammed Shami dismissed Sri Lankan opener Dimuth Karunaratne in 2017 to achieve the feat

Mohammed Siraj was exceptional on Day 2 as he took 3 wickets for 14 runs in 9 overs including one maiden

On Day 3, Mohammed Siraj will have a chance to complete his fifer and make the follow-on unavoidable for Bangladesh
