On Day 1 of the 3rd Test against England, New Zealand's Henry Nicholls of got out strangely. This surprised him and the English team.

Nicholls hit a straight drive off Jack Leach's bowling. The ball hit the bat of fellow non-striker Daryl Mitchell.

After hitting Mitchell's bat, the ball went towards mid-off, with Alex Lees taking the catch.
