The ODI World Cup fever has finally arrived on the coast of India.

England and New Zealand will commence the month-and-a-half-long extravaganza at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday, October 5.

Ahead of the big opening fixture, we take a look at the Head-to-Head record between these two giants.

England and New Zealand have faced off in 95 ODIs to date. England have emerged victorious 45 times and New Zealand winning 44 times.

They have faced off 10 times at the ODI World Cup, with New Zealand triumphing on five occasions, while England have won four games.

England might not have Ben Stokes for the opening fixture but it is the Kiwis who have more injury concerns in their ranks. 

 Tim Southee and Kane Williamson will miss the first game, putting New Zealand in a spot of bother.
