Team India's captain Rohit Sharma pummelled 46 off 20 balls to lead India to a six-wicket victory over the Aussies in the second T20I.
Rohit's knock was decorated with four boundaries and four sixes as he became the first player to hit 500 boundaries in the T20I format.
With this win, India have now levelled their three-match T20I series 1-1 in Nagpur. They lost the first match in Mohali by six wickets.
Rohit also equalled Sourav Ganguly for the most Man of the Match awards for India. Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli occupy the first and second spots.
Under Rohit's captaincy, in the ongoing 2022 calendar year, India have tasted victory in 20 of the 29 T20I matches that they have played this year.
Rohit equals Kohli's captaincy record to register the most T20I victories under his captaincy. In 41 matches, Rohit has won 32.
Kohli is also a prominent member of this list. Under his captaincy, India win 32 T20I matches in 50 fixtures.
However, it is no surprise that the legendary India skipper MS Dhoni leads the line on this list. He won 42 of 72 matches as captain.
With 10 more wins required to catch up to Dhoni's record, it will be interesting to see whether the star batter is able to do so?
