Sam Curran's exceptional show in T20 WC final adds him to elite wicket-taking list 

His first wicket of the all-important match of the T20 World Cup took him to the top of a very special list.




The English fast-bowling all-rounder is now the player with the most wickets in a single edition of the T20 World Cup.

The bowler with the most wickets in a single edition of the T20 World Cup for England are as follows:-

Sam Curran bowled Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan for 15 runs. He then also dismissed Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Wasim.

After Curran, Ryan Sidebottom is second on the spot with 10 wickets in the 2010 T20 World Cup.

In third place is Graeme Swann, who also took 10 wickets in the 2010 T20 World Cup.


David Willey's 10 wickets in the 2016 T20 World Cup is fourth on this list.
