KL Rahul-led India won the second ODI against Zimbabwe to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.

Sensational Samson

Team India's top order failed in the second ODI but their star wicketkeeper-batter Sanju batted with a grit and won the match for the Men in Blue with an unbeaten knock of 43 runs.

Sanju goes maximum

Chasing the target of 162 runs, Sanju smashed three fours and four sixes in his 39-ball knock to add a big record against his name.

Sanju's blitzkrieg

As soon as Sanju Samson hit the fourth six of his innings on the Zimbabwe soil, he became the second Indian wicketkeeper-batter to hit the most number of sixes in an ODI innings.

Big record

Sanju has now equalled former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's record with four sixes. He too had clobbered four sixes in an innings against Zimbabwe in ODI as a wicketkeeper-batter.

Sanju emulates Dhoni

Dhoni also hit three sixes in an innings of an ODI match against Zimbabwe in the year 2005.

Dhoni's legacy

Sanju Samson was adjudged the Man of the Match for the first time in his international career. He made his debut in international cricket in the year 2015.

Maiden Man of the Match

After becoming the man of the match, Sanju said 'The more time you spend on the field, it makes you feel better. To do so for the country is even more special".

Sanju's reaction

The final and third ODI match between India and Zimbabwe will be played on August 22. In this match, if Sanju manages to hit 5 sixes in an innings, he will surpass Dhoni's milestone.
