India's star opener Shubman Gill has achieved a big milestone to become a lone batter to do this in the first nine ODIs.
Gill has amassed 499 in his first nine innings and became the only batter in India to do so. Even high-profile players with the likes Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni could not achieve this feat.
Let's have a look at the list of batters who have amassed most runs after 10 ODI innings.
South Africa's batter Janneman Malan had scored 645 runs in first 10 innings of his ODI career to sit top of the list. If Gill has to make a world record, he will have to score 146 runs in his 10th ODI innings.
Former England's star batter Kevin Pietersen come second in the list as he had scored 558 runs in his first 10 ODIs.
Tom Cooper, the Australian-born Netherlands' player, mustered 564 runs in his first 10 innings of ODI career.
