April 21, 2023 With just 28 matches on, IPL 2023 has already seen many teams frequently changing their captains.
Seven out of 10 teams have already changed their captains. However, captains of some of these teams have been changed for the entire season and some for a few matches.
Let's know about the teams which have changed their captains in the IPL 2023 so far.
KKR are playing with the new captain with Shreyas Iyer was ruled out due to back pain. Nitish Rana is leading KKR's pack in IPL 2023.
Same is the case with Delhi Capitals, who have appointed David Warner as their captain after Rishabh Pant ruled out after a horrific car crash.
Aiden Markram is leading Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023 after Kane Williamson was released in the mini auction last year.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was also seen leading SRH in the first match in absence of Markram who joined the squad a bit late due to international commitment.
Shikhar Dhawan has been handed the captaincy role of Punjab Kings after Mayank Agarwal was released in the IPL 2023 mini auction.
However, Shikhar Dhawan suffered a shoulder midway through IPL 2023 which led to the appointment of Sam Karan as PBKS' stand-in skipper for the time being.
