Curran wreaked havoc on Sussex bowlers with a splendid 68 off 35 balls.
Curran's fiery knock was studded with six fours and four sixes.
Curran struck runs at a stunning strike rate of 194.29.
Riding on Curran's blitzkrieg Surrey posted a colossal total of 258/6 after opting to bat first.
Later Surrey was handed a huge 124-run defeat at the hands of Surrey.
Sussex batters wilted under pressure and were bundled out for a paltry 134.
