2007 - New to the format, India scored runs at a run rate of 7.2 runs per over with 6.4 balls per boundary. Most fours (29) across editions by India were hit in 2007
2009 - Indian batters scored at an average run rate of 7.4 runs per over. Indian batters scored a boundary every 6.7 deliveries
2010 - In the third edition, the run rate fell to 6.4 runs per over. Only 2 sixes were hit in powerplay overs by India in the tournament
2012 - The run rate increased to 6.9. Sixes were still scarce but a total of 24 fours were hit during this period
2014 - The run rate climbed to 7.3 runs per over and India finished as runner-ups of the tournament
2016 - The run rate during fielding restrictions dropped to 6.4 with highest balls per boundary ratio of 7.8. India were knocked out in the semi-final
2021 – The run rate was the highest at 8.7 run rate and balls per boundary ratio of 4.4. But India had to face three minnows in the group stage
2022 - This year India had an average powerplay overs run rate of 6 and the balls per boundary ratio was as high as 9
