Stroke-wise analysis

Tussles between India and Pakistan in cricket are always hotly contested affairs, and their 2022 Asia Cup fixture was no different at all.

Subcontinental 'El Clasico'

After their performance vs Pakistan on Sunday, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya moved to second on the list of the most wickets in T20Is between the rivals. Here is the full list.

Bhuvi, Pandya move up

The former Pakistan bowler has picked up 11 wickets in six T20Is against India, but had a high economy rate of 8.27 against the team.

Umar Gul: 11 Wickets

His four wickets on Sunday took him above Irfan Pathan to second on this list. His 4/26 is the best against Pakistan in five matches.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar:
9 wickets

Third on this list, Pandya has bagged seven wickets in four matches against Pakistan. He has brilliant best figures of 3/8, coming in Mirpur in 2016.

Hardik Pandya: 7 wickets

With six wickets under his belt, Pathan, for a long time, was second on this list before the match on Sunday. He faced Pakistan three times in his career.

Irfan Pathan: 6 wickets

Mohammad Asif has scalped five wickets in just two matches against India, all five coming during the ICC Twenty20 World Cup in 2007. He bagged four wickets in the group D game and one in the final.

Mohammad Asif: 5 wickets

Seven bowlers have four wickets in matches between the two teams — Md. Amir, Md. Sami and Shahid Afridi for Pakistan; Ashok Dinda, Ravindra Jadeja, RP Singh, and Yuvraj Singh for India.

List of four wickets is LONG!

While both Bhuvi and Pandya can still overtake Umar Gul's 11 wickets, the likes of Shaheen Afridi (3), Arshdeep Singh (2) can still move up the ladder.
