Virat Kohli joins 4000-run club in T20I cricket

India's star batter Virat Kohli bagged his fourth half-century in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

With this, the highest run-getter in the history of the competition has now completed 4000 runs in T20I cricket!

He now has 4008 runs in T20I cricket!

In doing so, Kohli scripted history, becoming the first batter in history to reach 4000 runs in T20Is!

Earlier, Kohli became the all-time leading run-scorer in men's T20 World Cup history during the match against Bangladesh in Adelaide.

Kohli is also the top scorer in the T20 World Cup 2022 with over 270 runs in 6 matches.

In the match against England in the second semifinal, he scored 50 runs off just 35 balls for India.

Meanwhile, India need to defend 168 runs to reach their third T20 World Cup final.

India's star batter Suryakumar Yadav has belted 260 runs at a strike rate of 195.48 in 6 matches against England in T20Is.

England's Alex Hales has whacked 245 runs at a strike rate of 123.11 in 9 matches against India in T20Is.
