Former India captain Virat Kohli has returned to his best form and now has his eyes on two big records ahead of the Australia series.
The first record that Kohli will target is that of coach Rahul Dravid. he is close to the same and can achieve it in the series against Australia and South Africa.
Virat Kohli is seventn in runs in international cricket with 24,002 to his name. He can overtake Rahul Dravid if scores 207 more runs.
Current India coach Dravid has 24208 runs in 509 matches in international cricket. Reaching this milestone will take to 6th place.
Meanwhile, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is at the top of the list with 34357 runs in international cricket.
If he catches on to Dravid's record, Kohli will also go on to join the 11,0000-run club in T20 cricket (all league matches together).
Rohit Sharma has 10,470 runs in T20 cricket while Kohli has 10,902 runs to his name. This means that Kohli way ahead of Rohit in this respect.
if Virat Kohli scores 98 more runs against Australia and South Africa, then he will become the first Indian to join the 11,000-run club.
Chris Gayle has the highest number of runs in T20 cricket — 14562. After Kohli comes Shoaib Malik (11893) and Kieron Pollard (11829).
