Women's T20 World Cup: A look at the top run getters of the marquee tournament

The Women's T20 World Cup kicks off in South Africa on Friday, February 10. 

This tournament has seen many top players perform at the highest level. 

Here, we take a look at the top six run-getters of this mega event. 

With 726 runs in 24 games, India's Mithali Raj is the highest Indian run-getter and the sixth-highest overall.

Australia's Alyssa Healy has scored 752 runs in 34 matches, fitting in on fifth in this list. 

Charlotte Edwards is the former England skipper who has scored 768 runs in 24 games. 

Meg Lanning will hope to add her 843 runs in 29 matches, which is the third-highest in the tournament. 

Stafanie Taylor of the West Indies has the second-most runs, with 881 runs in 29 games. 

Topping the list is New Zealand's Suzie Bates, having scored 929 runs in 32 games.
