Sports Tak Staff
February 18, 2023 Harmanpreet Kaur set a new record when India took the field against England in the 3rd 2023 Women's T20 World Cup game.
She played her 149th T20I match in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, February 18.
In doing so, Harmanpreet became the most-capped T20I player across men's and women's cricket!
She went above India's men's team skipper Rohit Sharma to achieve this feat.
Rohit has played 146 T20I matches for India.
In Women's cricket, New Zealand's Suzie Bates is the next player with the most T20I matches, with 142 appearances.
The next Indian on the list is Smriti Mandhana, who has played in 114 T20I games.
But this record will not make Kaur much happy as her side lost to England by 11 runs.
Renuka Thakur was the star as she picked her maiden T20I fifer, while Smriti Mandhana scored 52 runs.
