Suzie Bates joins exclusive list with only Kohli and Jayawardene

New Zealand secured an important 71-run victory over Bangladesh in their third match of the Women's T20 World Cup. 

Suzie Bates was the star of the night for her team. 

The former skipper became only the third batter after Virat Kohli and Mahela Jayawardene to score 1000 runs in T20 World Cups!

She achieved this feat on the way to her unbeaten 81 runs off 61 balls.

Before this, she lost her wickets to ducks against South Africa and Australia.

Her innings included seven fours and one six. 

In 35 T20 World Cup matches, Bates has now scored 1010 runs. 

She averages 31.56 and has a strike rate of 114.12. 

Her top score for her team is an unbeaten 94.
