WPL Auction 2023: History created, know who the women's Auctioneer is!

The auction for the inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL) will take place on Monday, February 13.

With a landmark auction upcoming, the BCCI has also made a very important decision. 

They have chosen to go ahead with a woman auctioneer for the WPL auction this season!

The role will be fulfilled by Mumbai-based art collector Malika Advani!

The Mumbai-based auctions are usually done by Hugh Edmeades, Richard Madley or Charu Sharma.

But this time they have gone ahead with Malika, who is a consultant for Modern and Contemporary Indian art. 

Malika is also a partner in Art India Consultants firm, all based in Mumbai. 

Meanwhile, the BCCI has informed the teams that each team will have 15-member squads. 

The minimum spend per team should be Rs 9 crore.

Australia's off-spinner Murphy has taken seven wickets for 124 runs in a spell of 47 overs in the first innings against India in his debut match.

The value of the full purse is INR 12 crore and each side is allowed to buy only six foreign players.
