Arsenal have slipped up in the title race, losing to Brighton 3-0 to give Manchester City a chance to seal the trophy next weekend.

This was a very poor result for the London-based outfit, who were in the reckoning for their first PL trophy in 19 years.

After a balanced first half, the visitors ran riot on their opponents and lost the match in the second half.

In fact, 3 of Arsenal's last four home defeats in all competitions have come against Brighton.

They are also the fifth side to win away at the Gunners twice in the same season.

The others to do so are Nottingham Forest (87-88), Aston Villa (93-94), Manchester City (20-21) and Liverpool (21-22).

Arsenal, who will return to the Champions League after six seasons, will rue their chance at winning the title.

However, with a young crop of players, this team looks set to compete for more trophies in the years to come.
