Wigan was beaten by 8 goals the very next season, this time by Chelsea. Drogba bagged a hat-trick, Nicolas Anelka, Frank Lampard, Salomon Kalou, and Ashley Cole scored for the Blues.

Another 8-0 victory over Chelsea saw goals from seven different players. Ramires scored twice and Fernando Torres, David Luiz, Branislav Ivanovic, Frank Lampard, Oscar, and Eden Hazard.

The Saints thrashed Sunderland 8-0, with Santiago Vergini's own goal kicked off a goal-fest with Graziano Pelle (2), Jack Cork, Liam Bridcutt (og), Dusan Tadic, Victor Wanyama, Patrick van Aanholt (og) scoring.

In 2022, Liverpool beat Bournemouth 9-0 with goals from Luiz Diaz (2), Harvey Elliott, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Roberto Firmino , Virgil Van Dijk, Chris Mepham (og), Fabio Carvalho.
