Here's why the decision to sack Graham Potter makes sense for Chelsea
Sports Tak Staff
April 4, 2023 Reputed Premier League (PL) manager Graham Potter was recently sacked by Chelsea after finding the team stuck in 10th position.
Many thought that the team's board will stick with their support for Potter but that was not the case.
In fact, it is not so surprising that Potter has been relieved off his duties as Chelsea's manager.
Under his tenure, the Blues did not see any real progress.
His numbers also showed a performance similar to a mid-table club.
He had a 39% win rate in the 31 games that he managed with Chelsea across all competitions.
This is the lowest win rate of any permanent Chelsea manager in the 21st century.
This included 12 wins, 11 defeats and 8 draws.
Despite major investments under his guidance in the January Transfer window, they have scored just 33 goals.
