Morocco's charismatic journey in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar ended in the semifinals after they were defeated by France.

Defending champions France, with their attacking play, defeated the African minnows 2-0.

Here, we take a look at the five big reasons that led to  Morocco facing defeat against the Frenchmen.

Morocco's strong defence looked weak in this match and in the 5th minute, France's Theo Hernandez scored against them.

After scoring the first goal, the Moroccan team could not attack and could not score any goal in the whole match.

At the same time, the French goalkeeper Lloris also showed great spunk to save three Moroccan shots from going into the goal.

Moroccan captain Romain Saiss was injured before the match but despite this, he played and could not stop their opponents.

At the same time, for the first time, the semifinal team of Morocco lacked the experience of playing big matches.

Morocco had defeated big teams like Belgium, Spain and Portugal on the way to the semifinals.
