Magical Messi: The Argentinean bags 100 international goals!

Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick as Argentina beat Curacao in an international friendly match on Wednesday morning. 

In doing so, the magical forward reached another landmark by scoring 100 goals for his country.

Under his captaincy, Argentina won Copa America in 2021 and the FIFA World Cup in 2022. 

Only Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) and Ali Daei (Iran) have scored more goals in international men's football.

He also now has 156 goal contributions in 174 games, the most in the history of international football.

In Argentina's last 14 games, Messi has scored 21 goals & assisted 7. 

His first international goal came against Croatia in March 2006. 

Almost 13 years later, he has scored his 100th goal for the country. 

In the previous game against Panama, the legendary footballer scored his 800th career goal.
