Manchester United are back to their best form after they beat Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday night.

Goals from Casemiro and then a Sven Botman own goal sealed a comprehensive win for the Red Devils.

The Red Devils' last triumph came when they won the Carabao Cup and the Europa League in 2017 under Jose Mourinho.

The team have done extremely well under Erik Ten Hag, who joined the team in the summer.

It was Manchester United's sixth League Cup triumph, third on the list behind only Liverpool (9) and Manchester City (8).

The win was orchestrated by Casemiro, who has been credited with an effect on United's defensive efforts this season.

Casemiro has scored four goals in his last 12 games in all competitions.

This is one more than he managed across his previous 89 matches at the club level.

The side are currently third on the points table, and their improvement under Ten Hag is finally showing with the triumph.
