June 18, 2023 Croatia's experience will come in handy when they play a young Spain team in the Nations League final on Sunday.
It will be the perfect chance for Croatia skipper Luka Modric to win an international trophy for his country.
He captained the team that finished as runners-up in the FIFA World Cup 2018 and third in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Croatia will want to win their first major title as they face Spain in Rotterdam in the final of the third edition of the Nations League.
They reached the final after they beat the Netherlands 4-2 in extra time.
In that win, Modric took his team to the final with a penalty kick late in extra time.
Meanwhile, Spain reached the final with a last-second goal against Italy in Thursday's semi-final.
The La Roja themselves will have a chance to end their trophy drought of over 10 years.
