The group stage is over in the FIFA World Cup 2022 being played in Qatar which has seen some shocking turnarounds already.
The FIFA WC 2022 saw seven big upsets in a total of 48 group stage matches which lasted for 14 days. Let's know the teams who became victims of these turnarounds.
The first jolt was caused by by Saudi Arabia when they defeated Lionel Messi's team Argentina 2-1.
Japan blew away Germany and made another splash in the FIFA WC 2022. The Asian team defeated the 4-time champions 2-1.
Morocco stunned Belgium for the third time. The European team was a contender to win the title but got hammered by Morocco 2-0.
Defending champions France also could not escape the string of upsets as they were shocked by Tunisia 1-0.
Japan came back to haunt another team and this time it was Spain's turn. Japan rocked the 2010 WC champions 2-1.
Ronaldo's Portugal also suffered a big upset at the hands of South Korea who won the match 2-1.
In the last match of the group stage, Cameroon came down all guns blazing to rock the five-time champions Brazil 1-0.
