Neeraj Chopra: The diamond of Indian athletics

Neeraj Chopra has been selected as Forbes India's Person of the Year 2022.

Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in Javelin with a throw of 87.58 in the Tokyo Olympics. He is the first Indian to win an Olympic gold in athletics.

In 2022, Neeraj also won the silver medal in the World Championship. He also became the first Indian athlete to win gold in the Diamond League.

After winning the Olympic medal, there has been a big increase in the brand value of Neeraj Chopra. He currently endorses 15 brands.

Before the Olympics, Neeraj Chopra only represented two brands. Right now he charges Rs 3 to 4 crore for a brand endorsement.

In the year 2022, Neeraj Chopra earned Rs 36 crore through endorsement. Apart from them, PV Sindhu was in high demand among non-cricketers.

Neeraj Chopra is a resident of Khandara village of Sonipat in Haryana. When he was 12 years old, he became a Javelin thrower for the first time.





After a slow start to his career, he did not look back.
