The long jumper has secured a silver medal in the ongoing CWG 2022 in Birmingham!
The 23-year-old jumped 8.08m in his 5th and penultimate attempt in the final, which won him the silver.

Sreeshankar carries his study materials wherever he goes to compete. Murali proudly lists out his scores in 10th and 12th grade, all above the 95% mark.
Back in 2018, 19-year-old Sreeshankar missed the trip to Australia for CWG after suffering a ruptured appendix weeks before the Games

Sreeshankar was unable to qualify for the final at the Tokyo Olympics and finished seventh at the 2022 World Athletics Championships
"Next time, I want to win Gold. I have one unfulfilled dream. I was hoping to win a medal at the World Championships as well," Sreeshankar said.
