World Athletics Championships 2023: India schedule for Day 1

August 19, 2023 The highly-anticipated 2023 World Athletics Championships will kick start on August 19 (Saturday) in Budapest, Hungary.
A total of nine Indian athletes will begin their campaign across five disciplines on the opening day of the competition.
Let's take a look at India's schedule on Day 1 of World Athletics Championships.
1. Men’s 20m Race Walk Final: Akashdeep Singh, Vikash Singh, Paramjeet Singh
2. Men’s 3000m Steeplechase: Avinash Sable will be seen in Heat 1
3. Women’s Long Jump: Shaili Singh will be seen in action when she walks out for the qualification rounds in Group B of the event.
4. Men’s 1500m: Ajay Kumar Saroj will compete in Heat 3 of the event
5. Men’s Triple Jump: Abdulla Aboobacker will be seen in action during the qualification rounds of the event from Group A.
6. Men’s Triple Jump: From Group B, two Indian athletes - Praveen Chithravel and Eldhouse Paul - will be seen in action
